HP Elite Friday night lights

What’s the deal with this? We got an email inviting DC and it said not to forward it to anyone. DC has done some classes there in the past. Is Revolution Sportsplex the place with a bar? Is it worth going a few times? DC is “u little” age and not doing Super Y so thought maybe a good way to get some games in. But curious to hear from others who have done it.

I've noticed there is a whole "invite only" movement going with HP, False8, FC Training and many others I'm sure. They are jumping on the trend to only have 'Top Ballers' attend certain invite only sessions. By and large it is irritating. But yeah, it should be a training session with more skilled players. Also, getting kids to sign up for Friday Night or Saturday night sessions is tough. A lot of kids starting at U-12 don't want to participate on Friday nights.

The REV Sportsplex does have the bar. Great for parents to socialize... as a parent, I'd sign up for it... but my 12 year old, would be less enthused unless she had a buddy; I am sure the training will be a mix of fun and quality.

This is completely false. My kid has done it for a couple of years. There are PLENTY of 15, 16 and 17 year old boys and girls who attend.

It’s a great environment and I would recommend it. My DD did it last year (U13). It’s one of the only environments where the kids can just play and try out moves and be creative while playing other ECNL level girls from across all teams.

We've done it, there wasn't any training. It's like organized pickup with other kids who are also at a good level.

Please reread what you wrote and come to the realization that you and the PP can both be correct. The continuation of humanity depends on this. Not even kidding.

So they charge people for pick up
Soccer, or is it free?

They charge you for pick up soccer. The coaches pay a bit and there is a DJ. That’s it.

It doesn't, Karen/Kevin. I'm sorry you are such a drama queen.

Thanks for this. Makes sense now. I have been trying to attend a False 8 session but we don't live close enough to plan our life around them.

Most of these comments are correct. This is simply a means of getting good players to play other good players. If your kid likes to play and prefers to play against better talent, they will probably enjoy it and get quality touches. If that isn’t for you, don’t do it.

They don't invite 'ulittles' normally so if you do infact have a young player it's worth it for the scrimmaging against older players. It's just scrimmaging though.
