Best low-mosquito nature vacation in MD or DE?

Is Deep Creek full of mosquitoes in the summer? What about Maryland and Delaware beaches or coasts?
I need something that's as bug-free as possible, but still close to home.

Delaware can have the biting flies if the wind is coming from inland. Ocean City doesn't have this as there is a bay to the west of ocean city.

We haven’t had trouble with bugs in western MD at Labor Day. Not sure about earlier in the summer.
