| If it's just a few wooden steps, look for someone who builds decks. You might even find a landscaper who can do it. |

Is it a "repair" or new staircase? Latter might need permit or inspection. If so make contractor get permit. Permit applicant is responsible for meeting code. You don't want that to be you.
Repairs are unregulated afaik. |
