Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
I'm kind of late in planning, but we're hosting a group of 6 this Sunday for a good-bye luncheon for friends moving out of the country. Any ideas of delicious food for a casual lunch? Links to recipes are even more appreciated

I'd suggest
fruit tray/veggie tray sandwich tray nice basic salad it's hard to make suggestions because we don't know if you like to cook, want to cook a lot, want to buy most of it...etc. http://www.southernliving.com/food/entertaining/light-lovely-dishes-00400000040426/ http://recipes.kaboose.com/lunch-recipes.html |
| Not sure if this is what you had in mind but how about some typical American food like burgers, fries and cokes? I know they can get a lot of it overseas but just something from home. |
| I love the above idea (of hamburgers, fries, etc.), but before I read that I was going to suggest quiche (you can make one pretty easily or buy from Whole Foods if you not into cooking), a nice salad (I love salads with a lot of "stuff" in them - my latest salad addition is pomegranate seeds, which I was happy to discover are now sold seeded for you at Whole Foods!!), and bagels or croissants with something sweet like brownies for dessert. |
