Renaming of local (and national) landmarks

Interesting renaming streak for this administration: First the BLM Plaza removal, then the restoration of Fort Bragg, et al. Most recently the news of Penn Station potentially becoming Trump Terminal (as suggested by Governor Hochul). Now, DC Metro could be renamed the “Trump Train” or lose federal funding.

This bill is just a troll, seems pretty unlikely to actually become law.

Did removing confederate monuments in Richmond reduce crime? Did it make the water potable? You have to boil water in Richmond now.

Personally, I felt a great weight of oppression was lifted from my wallet. I could feel the tax dollars flowing into the creation of a museum for these removed statues.

Can we get Wilson back, please?

DOGE shut down the Woodrow Wilson International Center, created as a living memorial to Wilson. So that’s one less Wilson “memorial”.

I hope Trump razes the FDR Memorial next.

There’s no way that F’ing scumbag FDR should have ANYTHING named after him.

And FYI - they "restored" the name Fort Bragg by switching it to honor another person.

"Fort Bragg, formerly known as Fort Liberty, was renamed in February 2025 to honor Private First Class Roland L. Bragg. He is a World War II hero who earned the Silver Star and Purple Heart for his actions during the Battle of the Bulge.

Roland L. Bragg was a World War II paratrooper in the 17th Airborne Division who trained at Fort Bragg before deploying to Europe. During the Battle of the Bulge, he commandeered a captured German ambulance to evacuate wounded paratroopers, earning him the Silver Star and a Purple Heart."

Creative - and lucky for him
