My kids have an amazing school bus driver. We went in on a group holiday gift but I’d like to recognize her with an end of year card and gift.
Would a card from my kids with $50 cash enclosed be appropriate? I don’t know her well enough to do a gift card to a fave restaurant or store. Suggestions welcome! |
Cash. Don't overthink it. You can't pay rent with gift cards.
Cash is always welcome.
A card and straight up cash or a card and a visa gift card is completely appropriate. $50 is good.
That is totally fine
Is it a public school? You are limited what you can gift to a government employee.

My dad was a bus driver for 20+ years. Cash is a fantastic gift! He'd receive everything from cash to baked goods to gift cards for different restaurants.
The only gifts he didn't love were mugs and Starbucks gift cards, because he doesn't drink coffee and we had a lot of mugs. The mugs and gift cards were re-gifted to the kids.

Thank you for the replies! This is OP and I’m going to go ahead with the cash. Agree that cash is always king, haha! But didn’t want to be inappropriate by giving cash, like it was a tip or something along those lines. Thanks for the gut check.
