| Anyone know how long are the classes they give to be S&T judge? |
| 2 hours |
| I think two hours. Prepare for the crazy questions that are beyond hypothetical. |
I love the people there who ask questions just to prove they know their stuff and show how smart they think they are. |
Is that a universal experience at S&T training? I went to one not at NVSL University a few years ago and the bucket turn for backstroke was discussed ad nauseam. |
| I went to this yesterday for stroke and turn and it was exactly how it was described here. The instructors seemed very nice but were interrupted by irrelevant questions so I don't feel like there was a great explanation of what the stroke and turn judges actually do at the meets or the specifics of the strokes. If I wasn't a former swimmer, there is no way I'd feel comfortable going out there and actually doing it based on that training. |
Yeah, they shouldn't do new Stroke & Turn certification at NVSLU. New S&Ts should do training at a pool with kids in the water to demo what you're looking for. |
