It’s like, I saw the sign in the yard!
These postcards never list the price, just that the house (that you can see if you step out on your porch) is for sale. It’s like, ok? I saw already, thank you! What is the point of these? |
| I assume it's in case you also want to sell yours and were looking for a realtor who (presumably) knows your neighborhood. |
| Exactly |
| Mostly so you'll hire them. And a little bit in case you know someone who wants to move to your block. |
| Marketing. |
|
I would assume they are sending the postcard to everyone in your neighborhood. I get these all the time. This time, it just happens to be on your block.
But they are hoping that you will mention it to a friend who is looking. |
| To tell their family who may be looking to be closer. |
| Also they just have a big database and it would be more work to exclude a block or two than to just leave them in. Plus it shows you the price and basics that a sign doesn’t. |
| Marketing |
| To build name recognition. |
| The job of a real estate agent isn't to sell real estate. It's to sell themselves. |
| I get these all the time from a neighbor who used to run the pta and works at compass. She is so blatantly transactional that I would never buy from her. Also sent postcards with her kids on them. I found using her children to generate sales distasteful. |

Our neighbor down the street was renting and bought a house 4 homes away from them.
There are potential buyers out there who love their neighborhood and want to stay but are either renting or want a larger home. |
Wait, she used your info that she got from being on the PTA for her real estate marketing? That has to be unethical at a minimum. |
