Only other options would be Rec (Vienna Rec would be the most convenient for you) or to do some paid training.

But if you literally mean not traveling out of town, travel soccer doesn’t involve real travel until at least a few years older.

And a 7 yo would probably be pre-travel right now at most clubs which is even more local and lower key.

La Massia in Spain... you do have dual citizenship right?

FPYC is an option near there. They dont start travel for a few years. You could look at Arlington ADP. Vienna has a good house league from what I know. McLean too.

Travel is not far if you live near oakton. Try viva. What year is he? I think they are forming a 2017 team.

Check out the rec league where kids who go to your school play. Probably Vienna if you live near Oakton. The fields will be close to home. See if they have some kind of supplemental pre-travel program or skills clinic if your kid is super into soccer. That's a good way to test whether they might like the extra commitment that travel soccer would require, before going all in on that. Vienna is pretty sports crazy so you will probably find the volunteer parent coaches to be fairly invested.

2nd best option after La Fábrica per the number of pro players in the 5 top leagues.
