What would this place be like?

A thought experience, what would it be like if people only posted on topics they have direct knowledge on? It would probably be pretty dead, but wouldn’t it be nice to not have to drudge through the mud to find a nugget of reputable information?

The mud and the indirect knowledge are not coming from the same posters.

The mud has been worse than typical lately. Maybe because schools out and some teen is really bored? No idea what makes people post such vicious replies - surely in the long run, it will make them feel bad about themselves, yet they can't see it.
