Old Town Trader Joe's rearranging

OMG what did they do with the cashiers? Even the employees hate it. You can't see who's "open" at the far end, there's a big structural pole in the way, and the arrangement of each register is terrible. I'm more than happy to bag my own groceries, but where you stand vs where you bag almost seems backwards. I've asked the employees for their recs and they've said "we don't know either."

I know, extreme and very first world problem. But dear god, this was not a a store upgrade.

Trader Joe's has alwys seemed like a psychological study in creating the worst possible shopping experience from the insane parking lot designs, narrow aisles, and crazy checkout procedure. They should add giant shopping carts ala Ikea that you can't push straight.
