Not even sure what to do with all my money

Anonymous
Hit big on some stocks lately, own a few Bitcoin, real estate properties include a 7,000 SFH in Potomac, a townhouse in DuPont, beach house in OC, Miami, west coast, a few places in Europe etc.

My wife and I have 4 kids and I also have a consistent stream of family money, but I can only spend so much. Thoughts on what to do? I’m thinking about maybe becoming a local “Mr. Beast” doing some giveaways and working a social media feed to make more money for more giveaways.

Contribute to pro democracy non profits and media at home and abroad.

You can just give it away: you dont need to be a media spectacle a la Mr Beast. Pick a charity (or start one) and fund it. There is so much need in this world.

Same here. I'm keeping quiet. Only helping friends who ask for help and their children. Their teenage children do show interest in learning about investing.
Staying away from real estate. Zero interest beside my own homes.
I will retire abroad, but visit US for few months a year as my kids may stay here. Hoping to spend the money on the local village. The money will go further there.
For me, this is not just one time hitting it big. I see opportunities every week.

Donate money to food banks. Most donate food, but they need money to keep the lights on. Many also use the money to help families in unexpected circumstances, to pay mortgage for a month while they get on their feet.

Donate money to volunteer firefighters and ems (Hyattsville, for example). They need money to maintain their safety gear and equipment. These individuals Risk their lives every day to save the rest of us. Show your appreciation. Buy them tickets so they can take their families somewhere fun in their time off.

Use your money to help the community around you, but do it quietly, by donating to the established organizations.

Donate to teachers on Donors Choose. I've spent so much money on my own classroom for books, money for field trips, etc and so do my colleagues. Our school has no PTA or anything like that so if we need funds, we have to get them on our own.

Next time say you have no kids, anyone with 4 kids wouldn’t have time to become a DC Mr. Beast. Nice try though, 5/10.

You should consult a financial planner. If your goal is to give money away, you can do it tax efficiently like by donating appreciated stock (no capital gains taxes, plus a tax deduction). You may also went to set up a DAF to get the tax benefit in the same tax year you have big gains, even if you don't give all the money away in the same tax year.

Also when you start giving "big" which can be just a few $K/year depending on the charity, they'll assign a person to you and you just interact with them and they'll also invite you to events. Charity balls make for a great date night!
