Soccer Academy is awful.

Coerver was a mixed bag, one good week and one bad week.

Its really too hot here with global warming for outdoor summer soccer camps.

My kids were underwhelmed by Coerver, but like the Golden Boot travel-level camps and Dutch Soccer.

Seriously, global warming shutting down summer soccer? Didn’t know that, thanks. Oh wait….

My kids enjoy HP Elite & Beyond. Indoors, lots of reps, and they recognize players they have played against.

It is bigger at the younger years but middle school still has a good group.

Bring teammates and you have the bonus of a carpool.

Agree with these reviews

So many bad air and too-hot days last summer!

Amanda in the Golden Boot Soccer office here. Thanks for the shoutout, PP!

For the person worried about players (and staff) performing at their best in the heat, we agree with you! That’s why all our full-day camps (Arlington, Fairfax, Vienna) have a mix of outdoor and indoor time. Outside, we’ve got shade tents, water bottle refill stations, misting fans and more. Our daily schedule also regularly rotates groups indoors for training, lunch and cooling breaks. (There’s no TV time or anything like that!)

We also have half-day camps in McLean and Burke. Those use shade tents and refill stations, plus regular rest and water breaks to keep kids having fun.

Remember, your kids are often a lot more acclimated to the heat than their parents! But we still keep a close eye on kids and weather and adjust plans as needed.

(FYI, we have travel sections in several camps, but we also welcome rec players and even those new to soccer. Everyone is grouped by age and level.)

Which Golden Boot travel camps are indoors, please?

GBS’ Amanda again. None of our camps are fully indoors. But all of our full-day camps have indoor access, where some activities take place inside.

These two in Fairfax attract lots of travel players:

We also have other full-day camps in Fairfax, plus full-day camps run in partnership with Arlington County and the Town of Vienna. We always group according to age and level; if you’re considering a particular week but have questions about the roster, ask us! We’re always happy to give you a general sense of ages, levels, boys vs. girls, etc. or recommend the best fit for your particular player.

The camp locations have an indoor/air conditioned soccer field as well aa an outdoor field?

We have done Arlington Advanced and Alexandria Advanced in the past.

If you are looking to stay indoors, please note you are not doing your part in making America great again.

People blaming global warming as a excuse to raise Charming-soft kids.

DC area is too hot for full day soccer camps. Its just the truth. The ones we were signed up for two years ago got canceled. Last year my son did one at The St James, which was indoor, but not great quality. This year we are trying golden boot half day only.

Sorry but it’s true. Look at the past two years - last year things were cancelled because of the weeks long heat dome or kids were moved inside to watch movies. The year before the same but due to wildfires. Save your money!

NP who has done the Golden Boot camps in Arlington and Fairfax. The indoor part is a school gym and the kids bring flats for futsal style drills/games - so it is a good mix.

Have also done HP Elite and they are a big indoor turf field.
