Bare bones - Disney with 3 adult tickets and 2 children tickets. Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Universal..

What’s the lowest price just for tickets in 2025 - what’s what you would guess we will end up spending? $2k a day per park?

Depending when you go, the lowest prices for adult tickets (10+) are going to be between $120-$130 per person if you do one ticket.

Add parking fees.

Do you mean all in including hotel? What do you mean when you say all in for each park? Something that was helped us was that you could bring outside food into Disney. We packed some high calorie/protein dense snacks and it saved us eating one meal out at the parks. We also did mostly quick service. We stayed at pop century, a value resort, so transportation to the parks was free and the room wasn’t too expensive. We did shell out for lightening lane passes. We bought souvenirs for the kids. They each had about $30-$50 daily (this was way too much though, in retrospect I would’ve rather them not gotten as much stuff). We didn’t do any experiences other than one character dining experience (and one of the cheaper ones—it was still fun).

Op here. Just tickets. Basic tickets, without the added additions.

Doing both Universal and Disney on the trip will drive your ticket costs way up. Both Universal and Disney significantly discount additional days after 2, so if you did Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and another Disney park (water park, or Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios) it will cost you way less than if you do Universal.

How many days, and how old are the kids?

Probably 3-4 days for the parks and maybe 5-6 days total for the trip

6,10,14 are the ages

They are not huge Disney fans, but we want to go for the experience of having gone at least once as a family. DH grew up going yearly as a child.

In that case, go to Southern California, spend one day at Dinseyland, and enjoy the rest of you vacation.

The only thing to do in Orlando is theme parks. If you don't intend to spend your at the parks, there's no point in going.

Op here. It’s for the experience of going. DH has nostalgia about the Orlando location.

I’d probably do one day at magic kingdom and the rest at universal. Do you have access to perks at work? That was where I actually found the cheapest tickets to universal.

Do you understand that DIsney and Universal are separate tickets? Totally different locations and companies?

It depends on where you're going and when, and whether you add park hopping. Go online and look at specific days. Just for tickets, absolutely nothing else (line skips, parking, etc), I'd say 1k/day just for the tickets alone is probably about ballpark. But I'm literally just talking tickets.

As someone who grew up in Orlando, there is other stuff to do. Lots of springs, Space Coast is an hour away, etc.

Thanks PPs! No perks thru work. I was assuming about 2k per day per park?

Just one park per day or do you want to visit more than one park in a day?
