This sounds angelic: Miserere by Gregorio Allegri. First heard years ago at Good Friday services at the Cathedral https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=Miserere+by+Gregorio+Allegri&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:1561016a,vid:IX1zicNRLmY,st:0 Love those boy sopranos. Apparently, for years, it was only heard in the sistine chapel. No scores allowed elsewhere. Then Mozart just listened to it and wrote it down later from memory. So now we can all hear it. |
