How to tell which one is Walt Disney world resort

I can't tell by looking at Expedia. If I book through Costco, how can I tell? Is there a list of Walt Disney world resort list? Any advantages of booking at ptrr hotels vs Walt Disney world resorts?

Is it cheaper to book through Disney? What perks will I possibly get?

If you go through the Costco travel site it routes you to the official Disney site with discounts applied.

I've never booked through Expedia and don't know how it would work with a place like Disney. When you book through disney, you create an account with disney. That is then the account that you use to add tickets, dining reservations, lightening lanes tickets, special tickets (like to limited ticket entry events), etc. If your hotel booking is not through your Disney account, you will not get priority to book early for things like lightening lanes. Maybe if you go through a third party, there is a way to add to your disney account afterwards...I don't know. But I super don't trust expedia, so never use it.

Since you are definitely new to Disney, this is one of the few times I suggest just booking through one of their authorized agents. You won’t be charged. Tell them what kind of trip you want and they’ll take care of it.

I’m one of the other Disney thread owners. Go to the Disney site and also download the app.

Why would you book through Expedia? You are giving up 98% of any possible protection/recourse.

This. Disney is a unique trip. It’s really helpful to use one of the travel agents. We went years ago and had a great time, only because we used an agent who knew what she was doing. And I definitely didn’t!
