| BC/BS covers us but when we’ve needed it we’ve found it’s easier to just pay out of pocket— in most places medical care won’t bankrupt you like in the US. |

| No. Your insurance highly likely covers any emergencies abroad. DH has surgery for broken foot that's covered. It does need to be documented as an emergency however. |

| What you need is medical evacuation if things go south. I know two people who needed it and were very glad they had it. |
