Indestructible sneakers

My kid plays soccer every day at recess and he puts holes in his sneakers, and I’m replacing them every month! Anyone has suggestions for an indestructible sneaker for a 10-year-old who is constantly kicking balls with his feet?

Is it kicking balls, or is it that he's kicking them on blacktop?

My kids are softball pitchers and constantly wearing holes in their (specific to practice) pitching shoes because they practice on concrete. The softball pitching motion has a foot drag in it. The dragging on the concrete causes the holes.

Where are the holes? Soles only or toe?

Try leather sneakers instead of the mesh kind. My kid wears Nike Blazers and they last for 5-6 months instead of 2-3 months. They are $80 though. So it was either $40 shoes that last 2-3 months or $80 shoes that last maybe 6.

A mesh shoe with a good toe cap might have a similar wear life.

I’ve got no advice other than to stock up when there’s a big sale.

I don’t know if they’re indestructible but my kid wears adidas Samba shoes and she used them for indoor soccer in the winter and plays soccer at recess everyday and she’s sometimes worn them instead of cleats when she’s practicing on turf and there aren’t any holes anywhere. They were first considered an indoor soccer shoe but most people just wear them as normal shoes.
