Any strange possible flumist reactions/side effects in kids?

Anonymous
Anyone have any reports. This is not meant to scare people. DC had some interesting things going post flumist and we don't know if it's from flumist or just a coincidence. Our Dr discounts that anything could be related to flumist. I know nobody can be 100% sure, but just curious what types of things your child experienced post flumist that may or may not be related. It's 3 viruses this time so i assume it's not your typical flumist.

Flumist has MSG, and from the nostrils, it has a direct path to get to the brain. Check side-effects of MSG. Also, it is a live virus, so DC can shed virus for up to 21 days past immunization date. Side effects of flumist can include "flu" or "symptoms of flu" as well. Go online search for the insert to the flumist packing and read it carefully. You may want to report this to your pediatrician so he can report it to VAERS.

OP, also do a quick search on DCUM for "flumist."

There was a thread last year? and maybe the year before too. A bunch of people had weird reactions, including my son. There are some illuminating real-life reports there.

I am 113% sure my son was one of the ones that develop a virus upon being introduced to that same live virus. Never again, he can just suck it up and get an injection from now on.

10:41 I will look for the thread. Is it on this board? What reactions did your son have?

If you get Flumist in the afternoon, the (standard, "flu-like") symptoms show up at night and you just sleep through them and don't notice them. First time I took it at 10 a.m., which wasn't smart.
