Help! Getting paint off

Anonymous
Help! We did some art today and now my 9 month is stained blue like a Smurf. I tried warm water and soap and then avocado oil rubbed into the skin and warm washcloth. She's still blue.

Any ideas besides time?

Identify the art materials you used. Still in the package? Read the back.

It's washable kid paint. The package doesn't say anything about getting it off

Let her play with shaving cream.

Blue paint is the worst! My kid has also been stained from “washable” blue paint. (Red, black, orange— nothing else stuck around like blue.)

Only time helped. It faded away after a week.

Your dc will be slightly blue for a day or two, and they will be okay.

Comet dry cleanser or gasoline

This. You're likely to irritate the skin with solvents or scrubbing. It's no big deal if it takes a couple days.

Whenever this happens to my boy (he LOVES drawing landscape paintings), I just sit him in a warm bath for 30 minutes. If that doesn’t take it off, I paint over it with the same blue paint, and then wash it off. It comes off like a charm!
