Barnard v John Lewis for elementary?

Hello, it looks like we will have two options for our kids for this fall – either Barnard DCPS or John Lewis. Would love any thoughts folks have on those options/the comparison! Kids are going in to K and 3rd.

I would do Lewis! I have heard meh things about the Barnard principal and know Lewis has some excellent teacher.

Speaking with some bias because I am a Lewis parent, but this is a no-brainer to me to go John Lewis. Parents + teachers + staff synergize together really powerfully there.

NP but this comment is interesting. I have heard that the community at Lewis is okay but not nearly as strong as your describe.

OP: Strong staff turnout at PSCO (which is what they call PTO) mtgs. High parent volunteerism. Strong financial support for initiatives. Teachers seem to feel it's a very collaborative workplace. Overall really positive energy at the school.
