Materialists - making smoking glamorous again

Saw the trailer for this new movie about a matchmaker, choosing between two wonderful men, one who is successful and kind and rich, the other, who is a long-lost love who is now like a waiter. They are both handsome, Pedro and Chris Evans.

The premise is interesting and clearly the title speaks to its core Question of whether to marry for love or or money and in this scenario, both suitors are great, it’s not like the rich dude is old and fat or mean.

On top of that, though, I saw both Dakota and Chris smoking in several scenes in the trailer. I guess it’s trying to make it seem glamorous but gosh it’s 2025. I feel like it’s just so disgusting and what the heck does this have to do in a romance epic?

Both my parents smoke, and a lot of my friends smoked when they were teens (growing up in Europe), and I've always been attracted to the gesture. But tobacco and weed disgust me and I know they're terrible for your health. I wish there was a perfectly harmless smoking product.

I was born in '76 and have always found smoking to be a turnoff. If I found out a celebrity I liked was a smoker, I instantly lost interest and considered them dumb.
