| Anyone know the status? Heard returning players are slow to re-register, so the club has delayed making offers to new players. This is for boys in higher age groups. |
Wouldn’t the club have made offers to new players first, then made offers to current players based on which if the current players they wanted to keep? |
| No, they don't do that because then they won't have enough players for their teams. It's not if Potomac wants them back, but rather what team they will be on. |
| My kid tried out Monday I haven't heard anything. It's odd, I assumed that meant no and was about to accept with another team. They should really send an e-mail providing some sort of update. |
| ask the coach directly for feedback and what level team they think is a fit. Potomac was pretty upfront they already reviews current players |
|
OP here -- Potomac claims to be waiting to hear back from current players. Until they know who is returning, they don't know how many spots they will have. But this is taking too long, so we are not waiting any more.

Email the coach to get the status.
All offers for new and current players have a 48 hour acceptance period. But I’m sure they will extend this period for extraordinary players. Remember that coaches want different types of players ranging from feisty/gritty players, fast/strong players, to highly technical/skilled players. |
OP here again. Potomac does not enforce the 48 hour deadline -- that's the problem. Re-registration was supposed to be completed weeks ago, but Potomac is not telling anyone that time is up, and they even added a second set of tryouts that only ended two days ago. If this is how they treat us now, what would it be like if we joined the club? No thanks. Moving on. |
| Well this is all true crucial U17 aged coaches are new/newly promoted- so likely causing further delay |
