Using FCPS laptop for NOVA class

Anonymous
My daughter is signed up to take a NoVA class over the summer. She needs to install honorlock on the laptop but it seems to be blocked by her school Chromebook. Does anyone know if the tech folks at school will help her with this or is this just banned on FCPS computers?

Have her submit a help ticket for though FCPS, they’ll do it for her (or say no). Either way, you’ll get your answer.

Is it for high school credit? If not, you need to use your personal laptop.

This. Why would fcps allow this?

NOVA has a free laptop loaner program. Use that.

Thanks. We filled out this form. We didn’t know about it. This is for dual enrollment so just assumed kids used the fcps laptops.

They do for DE classes.

Have your daughter reach out to her school’s TSSpecs. They’ll be able to either assist with losing the software in her device or confirm that it cannot be done.
