Social security contributions starting at 47

I moved to the US a few months ago and I am currently working as a industrial engineer earning $135k/year. I am 47 years old. Assuming I work until 65, roughly how much can I expect per month for security after contributing for 18 years? I have a green card.

Around 2k if you claim at full retirement age of 67

You need 10 years to qualify for benefits at all and 35 to get the most you can. At your age, the best you can do is collect at 70. Might as well try!
