Is it TRUE Trump only signed 5 bills since January 20th? He signed over 151 EO??
I saw it on TikTok so I am taking with a gain of salt. I |
He prefers to rule by royal decree. |
Given that the Senate can only use reconciliation once a year, 5 is pretty impressive. |
I’m not sure he has signed one, let alone five. What bills? |
Congressional Republicans are incompetent and can't pass laws. That one isn't on Trump. |
It is true. And it is a low amount for what would be expected. However, he can't sign any bills that don't reach his desk, so it's hard to see why this is his fault. |
The Republican Congress is content to let Trump rule by EO, they don’t need to do anything, like pass legislation. |
The entire congress of republicans are being paid to do nothing at this point, except sit around and babble a little here and there. It’s disgusting. |
Correct. This is the real fraud and waste. A Congress that doesn't do their job and check the Executive Branch. |
It’s true. It’s the Laken Riley Act and probably four bills naming post offices or something. |
Record low was BUsh with 7 in 2001.
In 2017 he signed fewer bills than any president going back to at least Eisenhower. I would think it would be easy to look up number of bills signed (or veto overridden) by year . . . . |
