Pro: Social signal "I have money to burn"

Con: You will burn through money on maintenance and repairs

What's the difference between a porcupine and a Land Rover?
On a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside.

I love these cars and admittedly am not a luxury car person (used had VW and Saabs and Subarus growing up). However, we wanted /needed a new car and have a bit more money these days and went for the new Toyota Land Cruiser. It's amazing and a true off roader with tons of features and a luxe interior. Love love love it! $70k.

Personally I prefer AWD with appropriate tires not low profile performance ones.

Glad you like that.

It is adaptable to whatever you want to use it for.
The first time I heard it was about BMW drivers.

If you are going to blow a crap ton of money on a car for image (already dumb) at least pick one that is not an unreliable money pit.

It's known as one of the least reliable vehicle brands out there

Horribly unreliable and super expensive. Neighbors have one and it's constantly in the shop. I think they've had a dealer car more weeks than their actual Land Rover.

This was my sister’s experience also.

We’ve been lucky bc have consistently had a LR since 2010, and have only ever had routine maintenance on any of them. We’ve had our most recent one since 2017 and are just keeping it for our teen drivers bc it’s a safe tank and at this point wouldn’t get much for resale. I like how stiff they are to drive, and they hold 7 without being huge or difficult to park. For downside, unless you get a Range Rover, they’re not as fancy as some cars as far as the electronics and interface for navigation, etc. I do often just use car play for Waze.
