Please help me order from Balducci’s!

Anonymous
I’ve never ordered from or had Balducci’s catering and would really appreciate advice. I just learned I have to be out of town til midnight before a graduation party I am hosting.

It’s a family party w about 20 people starting at 4 pm no picky eaters or special dietary requirements. I am completely swamped at work and would be so happy if someone would just tell me what to order.

I'd order a tray of sliced beef tenderloin and a tray of crabcakes (choose mini crab cakes could also be an appetizer), 2 sides (one salad, one vegetable), dinner rolls and a Dolly Sin cake for dessert and a veggie tray appetizer. They also have "dinner for 4" ( you'd need 5 of these $$$) and those have sides, etc.
Their sushi is the only non Japanese restaurant sushi we'll eat - it's really good.

Their website is pretty easy and useful

They're very helpful by phone

They also have hot buffet dinner options that just need heating up and feed 8-10. You could get a couple of those and a couple appetizers. Like the sliced tenderloin, crabcakes, and dolly sin cake suggestions too.

Thank you guys!

Have someone pick up a large order from Moby Dick's instead.

I would get their "salad bar" (I love that they do this for catering) and herb-grilled chicken and lasagna.

But you can't go wrong with Balducci's no matter what you get.

The suggestions above are very good. The artichokes with dressing would be good with both the tenderloin and crab cakes.

Another option would be O'Donnells Seafood Market. I've ordered their crab dip (gone in 10 minutes), ask them to include crackers, grilled salmon with chili sauce or poached with dill sauce, and tenderloin. Great sides are their caesar salad, corn salad. Desserts are all great.
