How unfortunate. We lived in Guadalajara for 2 years and never felt unsafe while there. I sincerely wish we could have stayed longer. These sort of things do happen there due to getting in with the wrong people (cartels), it's not some random incident.

This is such a sad story. I'm not sure if it's accurate but I read that this was a boyfriend or ex, and that he's believed to be involved with the Cartel. She'd been receiving threats and didn't want to be at the salon (which she owned) that day but a friend pressured her to stay and do the livestream. There's speculation that the friend intentionally kept her there knowing the murder would occur.

The friend may have been pressured to keep her there. The friend may be dead soon.
