| Help! Which Club develops the best players? Boys U9-U13. Thinking of making a switch and want to hear about these clubs. Not going to VA or MD for practices. Live in the middle of the city. |
| At some point, PPA may have some practices in lower MoCo if that matters to you. |
| If you live in the middle of the city, stick with DCSC or Washington Capital United. No idea what dcxi is, DCYFC is palisades and likely far from you. |
|
WCU and DC XI have the best recent track record of development to MLS Next Badged programs outside of the city recently. WCU is on Capitol Hill and DC XI is at Riggs Lasalle/Takoma. Both of DOC that are quality.
DCSC is currently a mess and I would avoid them if possible. PPA is quality as well but they are west of the park. |
True about DCSC, but they are convenient. |
| Does DC XI have a girls program? |
DC XI has girls programs but it is not fully built out for all age groups as they are a small club. I would reach out to the club to see which age groups they have. Attend practices to see if your child blends in. They allow that to see if it is a good fit both ways. DC Way is also an option. They are in NE as well and I believe concentrated on the hill. |
| What about the Brooklyn Soccer split off thing from DCSC? Is that a viable option? |
Geographically, DC Way and WCU overlap. Of those two, would go with WCU without a doubt. |
| DCXI is a scam. Sadly, I know from experience. |
| You might want to consider City Sporting Club too in Edgewood. |
Can you elaborate on your experience with DC XI? |
