Can I use a postcard permit for an EV charger in DC?

| I tried getting in touch with the Department of Buildings today, but got put on hold. Does anyone know if you can use a postcard permit for a Level 2 EV charger in DC? Or does it have to be a full permit? |

| It says you can get one for "adding an appliance". Not sure if that qualifies for an EV charger though |

Are you doing this yourself? Or is an electrician?
If DIY, just do postcard or don't even bother (if you know what you're doing). If electrician, let them deal with permit. |
