If you’ve been in the past 6 mos or so, what would you recommend I see on an upcoming trip to nyc? I’m open to drama or musical, broadway or off.

obviously othello, good night good luck, and glengarry glen ross are all hot tickets, but beyond what i want to spend - but pls tell me if you saw it and found it worth the price!

i’ve seen wicked, six, hadestown, hamilton, book of mormon, chicago. not interested in moulin rouge, aladdin, mj.

What are you looking for?

If you want to see what's likely to be the Best Musical Tony, see Maybe Happy Ending. Sweet Musical that wrestles with themes of love and mortality, small cast of four, strong performances by the main two, and excellent stage craft.

For a romp/spectacle, see Death Becomes Her. Comedy romp and spectacle, large cast, great chemistry between its two leads, both if which are Tony nominated.

Operation Mincemeat is a west end transfer, British Comedy/history musical, cast of 5 playing multiple roles, Jak Malone is the favorite for Best Supporting Actor in a musical. If you like Monty Python this might be a good one for you.

Supposedly the current Cabaret cast with Eva Noblezada and Orville Peck is fantastic. Cabaret has some heavy subject matter, particularly right now.

Picture of Dorian Grey is a one woman show, Sarah Snook is supposed to be very good in it.

If you’re price sensitive and open to any thing Les see what was at the TKTS both the days go and get discounted seats. But & Juliet is fun, and if you haven’t seen the Lion King it’s not the new hip thing but it’s awesome.

Cabernet at the Kit Kat Club was excellent. Also loved Hell’s Kitchen. I’d like to see Outsiders and Suss but can’t recommend because I have t yet.

If you’re looking for something fun, Some Like It Hot and Shucked are worth it.

We loved Lion King. It’s actually my favorite.
I wanted to go this summer for a day trip but can’t afford the ticket prices anymore. It’s a shame.

Operation Mincemeat for a musical; Dorian Grey for a play.
