Pope Leo XIV call for a ceasefire in Gaza

Anonymous
Pope Leo XIV in his first Sunday expressed his sentiment that he was "deeply saddned" by Israel's starvation of 2M Palestinians in Gaza and called on Israel and world powers to push for a ceasefire. He also called for an end to the war in Ukraine.

I am worried that Pope Leo will now be called "hammas" or "anti-semitic" (even though the Palestinians are ethnically semities) calling for ceasefire.

Glad he is carrying on Francis' legacy and being outspoken about this! I hope he continues pope Francis’ tradition of nightly calls to Gaza.

What Israel is doing to the Palestinian people is genocide - clear, intentional and deliberate - and it must be called out every single day. This isn’t a time for passive language or silence.

Well, he certainly should never try visiting this country because that would be grounds for denying entry or for deportation if he manages to get in.

Zionists don't care about anyone but themselves. Everyone else is just a hinderance or blockade to them.

I’m sure that will work.

When will he tear down the walls around the Vatican and let in refugees?

Apparently, that no longer matters.

Are there refugees trying to get in? I’m sure they would be given sanctuary.

You will obfuscate and debate whether STARVING CHILDREN in Gaza is okay.

You disgust me.

The irony is that radical, extremist Zionists want DEI to provide special accommodation for them, but for everyone else to be attacked and ridiculed for supporting DEI for all of us, but especially those who have been unfairly marginalized in our society.

They want doxxing and cancel culture to destroy the lives of anyone critical of Israel’s policies and actions, but for everyone else to be attacked and harmed for trying to hold all of us accountable for our misdeeds.

Here’s hoping Pope Leo XIV remains resolute in his plea for peace.

Netanyahu is absolutely laughing at the idea of a ceasefire. He's moving forward to finish the job of ethnic cleansing.

"We are demolishing more and more houses, they have nowhere to go back to. The only obvious outcome will be Gazans wishing to emigrate out of the strip. Our main problem is finding receptive countries."
