| My family member in her early 30s is having an engagement party. We are traveling to attend. I have never attended an engagement party so I don’t know what type of gift works or what budget is appropriate. Open to all ideas. |
| I invited people to a fancy dinner for my engagement, and there was no expectation for anyone to bring gifts. |

I’d do something small. Maybe a cute ring tray for her to use with her new precious jewelry? The other one I also liked was a return address stamp with the couples names on it and a nice set of stationary (for thank you cards).
Or maybe a set of champagne flutes and a nice bottle of bubbles? |
| Cash or a bottle of champagne |
My son and daughter-in-law-to-be just had an engagement party and they got several champagne flutes and bottles of bubbles, as well as ring-related things. They also got several wedding planning books. |
| Thanks for all the replies. |
| I like to give a beautiful silver frame, and if I have a photo of the couple, I will put it in the frame. |
| Go to TJ Maxx or Marshall's and find a piece of silver to give them. Last time I did that, I got a silver wine bottle chiller and they loved it! |
Nobody needs a silver frame. OP do not buy someone decor. |
| If she's having an engagement party, she's got a registry somewhere. Find it, and purchase something off the list |
This isn't true for many brides-to-be since the engagement party is probably shortly after she got engaged. |
| Someone got me a very tasteful ring dish for my engagement, which I loved. |
