What's in your contract?

What do sign when your kid joins a travel soccer team?
Is it a formal contract?
Does it say which team your kid will be on (U16, etc.)?
Does it name the league (MLS Next, ECNL, EDP, etc.)?
Does it say how many times a week they will train (2x, 3x, or 4x per week)?
Does it say how many games will be played?Does it say how many tournaments are included?

Or do you just sign them up for the club, pay your money, and hope for the best?

Does it say which team your kid will be on (U16, etc.)? Yes
Does it name the league (MLS Next, ECNL, EDP, etc.)? Yes, it will be like MLSNext U14
Does it say how many times a week they will train (2x, 3x, or 4x per week)? Yes, 4x per week
Does it say how many games will be played?Does it say how many tournaments are included? Yes, the list of league games are set. It tells you what is included -- for example, out of state MLSNext tournaments are not included. Transportations to far away games are included.

Thanks. This week I received a registration link from a DMV club and NONE of the above information was included. Club says just sign two forms -- 1) MSYSA Membership and Player Registration Form (club says to leave the team and age group blank -- they will fill in later?!) and 2) US Youth Soccer Parent/Guardian Consent and Player Medical Release Form. And, of course, pay the fee. Who would sign this?

We registered thru playmetrics. We didnt get any contracts or information.

We ran into something similar. I just asked for the informational packet bf registering and they sent it to me. I wanted to know what was included in the fees etc.

Ours had team name but not much else. I called the club and asked all of my questions before signing.
