Girls trip recommendations for August

Looking to do a long weekend in August with a friend. We had thought about Miami but thinking it might be too hot and won't be enjoyable?

I am coming from DC and she is coming from NY. We want to eat good food, go to an amazing spa and relax.

Iceland, and no I'm not joking. It's not that log of a flight and they've got spas. If you pony up more money, you can get a nice luxe experience at the Blue Lagoon.

Thanks everyone! I would love Iceland but I have to 100% be back on a certain day becauee my husband leaves the next day. International would make me too nervous. At least I can rent a car and drive 12 hours id need be

I vote for Boston or NY. We have done both for girls' weekend. We start with a massage, then move on to drinks and dinner the first night. Something cultural the next day, Brunch the last, and head home. Both of these offer multiple ways to travel should something go wrong with your transportation choice.

Newport, RI is perfect. Stay at a great hotel with spa, walk around and shop, great restaurants, boat rides, etc
