With everyone disingenuous there always seems to be people who truly seem to still like and connect with them. But what makes someone come across as disingenuous to some but not others? And does the person themselves know that they come across this way?
|
| Do you have an example of what struck you as disingenuous? |
| OP, why would you assume all people can connect with all people? I assume people are wired differently and like who they like. They often don't even like those who their friends like. |
| No, I think they think everyone believes what they're selling. Sometimes the mask slips though. |
| You’re highly intuitive |
| I only feel this way with very "polished" people and sales types. It's like they are constantly selling themselves or something and you can't tell they think you are dirt and are indulging you to close the deal/interaction. I hate it but these people always somehow seem extremely popular. |
| People can be entertaining even if they're putting on an act |

I used to think that disingenuous people fooled everyone and was annoyed that others couldn't see it but I realized that other people do it see it, when I had conversations with them. They just don't reveal that they're not buying it. I think people see through others more than you might think.
On the other hand, I'm always struck by people who will believe something someone says when their actions clearly indicate otherwise. Lots of people listen and believe what they're told without looking further at it. I find that frustrating. |
Wut |
I often do not believe it but don't care enough to correct fwiw. |
Not the op, but I am, too. I hate that I can typically see through people and have to remind myself that others aren't intuitive frequently. |
