Are semester grades calculated from quarter grades posted on studentvue?

Hello,
My HS freshman noticed that the grade on the paper passed out at school with Q3 grades differed from the grade listed for one class on Student Vue. We think that the teacher updated the studentvue grades the day after they submitted the grade to the county(as in the submitted the grades to the county on Friday and still updated the weekend before the new quarter started). I am trying to find out if the semester grade is automatically calculated from what is listed in the studentvue system or if someone needs to alert the county of the grade discrepancy. The grade listed in studentvue is the higher one. Please help if you know. We already told the counselor and haven’t heard an answer back. Hoping someone here knows. |

| The semester grade is the Q3 report card grade + the Q4 report card grade, using the MCPS grading system - A + A = A, A + B = A, B + B = B, B + C = B, etc. If there is a discrepancy between the grade book and the final document, I would ask for a correction. |

What was this paper? I would look under Documents in Studentvue at the PDF of the most recent report card. |

| Student vue is correct. It is sometimes changed after the report card is printed |

| Should be student vue. Quarter grades can be changed by teachers up until 45 days after the quarter. |
