Campus Protests Turn Violent at Columbia & Washington

Attacking security guards at Columbia:

“The Ivy League university’s acting president, Claire Shipman, said two public safety officers had been injured as a crowd surged with people trying to force their way in.

“These actions are outrageous,” she said in a message to the campus community. Disruptions to academic activity will not be tolerated, she said, and “Columbia strongly condemns violence on our campus, antisemitism and all forms of hate and discrimination, some of which we witnessed today.”

Starting fires and praising Hamas at the University of Washington:

“The protesters lit dumpsters on campus on fire and caused “significant damage to the building and equipment inside it,” according to the university… Announcing the takeover, the activist group had cited what it called the “heroic victory of Al-Aqsa Flood,” Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.”

New administration at Columbia is making effective changes with arrests.

First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion(except for the homeland of the Jews) or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances with the exception of protesting, criticizing, questioning in anyway Israel’s actions. The penalty will be the forfeiture of all right guaranteed under the constitution.

Proud of these Columbia students for protesting the beginning of the Gaza Holocaust. Maybe they can spark a movement that will prevent the deaths of 2.3 million.

Similarly nearly a century ago, Columbia students staged mass protests against the university’s friendly relations with Nazi Germany.

Students have always been at the forefront of activism on the right side be it against Nazi Germany, Vietnam War or apartheid South Africa.

The officers actually blocked people from leaving the library. Protesters wanted to leave, but officers refused and blocked their exit from the reading room and insisted they show their ids.

Students against Nazis, Vietnam, and South Africa didn't win their cause by attacking innocent bystanders and making them hostage. That's a Hamas special.
