Mcap 10th grade English grade

Anonymous
Does anyone know how this factors into the grade for 10th graders? I looked online but couldn’t find it. My memory from science last year is that it was 20% of grade, with third and fourth quarter each the other 40%. So if you had Bs in each quarter and got an A on the mcap, you’d still have a B. If you have an A and a B and got an A on the mcap, you’d get the A but if you got a B on the mcap you’d get the B.
Is that right?

I'd like this information too. Last semester there was some kind of district assessment that counted 10% of the grade that DC and several friends said no one told them about. they thought it was just one of those ungraded standardized tests and got a bad surprise when the grades were given.

I didn’t think it did! Last year my 9th grader’s biology teacher talked about it in class, helped them review, etc. His 10th grade English teacher did no such thing this year before they took the test last week. Google AI says it counts for 20% of the student’s grade, but then links to a website about the bio and gov tests.

The web site doesn't mention the English exams at all.

The MCAP English test doesn't count for the grade, only MISA (Biology) and Gov (if not taking AP Gov).
