How bad did your face look day of Sculptra?

How bad did your face look the day you got Sculptra? Was it super noticeable? What about 1+ days after? How badly did you bruise?

Also how badly does it hurt compared to Botox injections?

I haven’t done Sculptura but have done fillers. It hurts much worse than Botox. I have minimal bruising and am able to go out the next day.

Ugh. That’s what I was worried about. Anyone else who’s done Sculptra?

My dr's office ran out of numbing gel before they did mine and I was fine without. The Sculptura has lidocaine in it so it's not bad. I was (noticeably to me) swollen for a few hours after, but it wasn't bad at all the next day.

Pretty much zero downtime - slightly puffy, but just looked like a bad night's sleep or too much wine and salty food! It did hurt but not as much as the cheek filler I got a few years ago.

Are PPs happy with your results? Is it worth it? (NP)

I'm happy with it. I had a really bad bout of COVID combined with masseter botox for TMJ - my face shape had changed a lot and not for the better. I look back to my normal self now, albeit still a few years older since it is a few years later.

I've been wondering this too - I was all set to get it but made the mistake of googling and some people's swelling after is HORRIBLE

I was told it’s not the bruising that’s an issue, it’s the swelling. And I was told to drink pineapple juice every day the week of to help reduce it.

I was swollen for 24 hours and had a few small bruises. Would 100% recommend it

When does the bruising go away? I had some under eye injections and I am still bruised almost one week later

What did you have injected and do you like it so far?

I'm one of the PPs who was totally fine - I love love love it. The results are incredible and so natural, and one session lasted a good year. I am 48 and prone to marionette lines and jowls, and this is like a miracle. I mean, it's not surgery, but for a relatively non-invasive procedure I am super impressed. I was also extremely diligent about doing all my massaging, etc. and I love my injector to death (not in DC).
