I need a day camp for 9 year old son that week (7/28 to 8/1) in Montgomery county. I already signed up other weeks except this week. He wants fun outdoor camp or multi sports camps. He is not scared of hot sun/sweat and he loves water or pool/lake. He does not mind busing camps to different location daily if it is an option for him. |
Which part of Montgomery county? |
Preferred in Germantown/Gaithersburg/Rockville area. Thank you. |
Try Summer at Sandy Spring. Lots of drama, but they're back on and offering a discount on tuition. They bus from different parts of the county. |
Check to see if Top Golf is offering camp during that week. |
You might try Camp Olympia, if you’re looking for outdoors. City of Rockville and City of Gaithersburg both have camps. I know that a lot of city of Rockville camps have a waitlist, but there’s generally movement on the list for park camps. Less waitlist movement with specialty camps. |
KOA sports camp |
Another vote for Camp Olympia. My son went to camp there last year, and it was completely outdoor with daily swim. |
It’s in DC, but Camp Half Blood is awesome! |
MSI has a reasonably priced soccer camp held at Julius West MS. My son did it last year, and they had sprinklers for afternoons when it was so hot out |
Britam soccer |
Camp Sonshine. My kid went for 8 years. There is one in Ashton and one in Germantown. |
Koa was great. |
Anyone with DC recommendations for this week? |
Agree with the Camp Halfblood recommendation from above. My kid loves it. Usually they still have openings. |
