Brick and mortar store for suit for teen DD??

Anonymous
DD (16) needs a suit. We’ve looked in several stores and the current styles we’ve seen seem to be that the suit jackets are either too short or way too long. She needs a suit with a jacket that’s a classic length, hitting lower on the hip. Of course now it’s become last-minute.

Any suggestions where to look?

Unfortunately I’d also suggest going to a mall with decent anchor stores (eg, Macys, Nordstrom, etc) and tailoring Unfortunately because selection in person is grim in a lot of places.

Macy's. Try Calvin Klein suits if available. Try the petite section if she is 5'4" or shorter.

If you need a different size on separates, consider asking the cash register person about doing a store lookup or ship to store.

Online is a good complement to in-store product size shortages.

Banana Republic factory has decent options, if you’re not looking for something high-end.

Good luck!

Ann Taylor and Aritizia -- both have stores at Tysons. Here is a glance at the jackets at Aritzia: https://www.aritzia.com/us/en/clothing/coats-jackets/jackets-blazer
