Similar recipes to black bean soup for preschooler

Anonymous
My picky preschooler loves a pureed black bean soup with roughly equal parts cumin, coriander, and chili powder. I’m looking for another recipe that he might also like. Soups are good but also easy-to-eat foods (he also really likes a shredded chicken and black bean recipe so give you an idea). Does anyone have suggestions for easy recipes that seem like they may be good for this sort of palate?

I don' have specific recipes but I'd do black bean taquitos and black bean burgers with similar spice profiles.

Why not make the black beans into a purer and use as a dip or into quesadillas / taco filling?

Maybe try other vegetables but use a similar spice profile eg. Chickpea stew or carrot soup with the spice mix they like?

Use the same seasonings but use different legumes? Make thicker and Add potatoes or rice?

It’s kind of hard or tell what they may like off of one soup non recipe, especially for a picky eater.

My similar kid loved hummus. About the only way he'd eat vegetables was strips of red pepper with hummus dip.

This is good and keeps well. I use shredded rotisserie chicken instead of the boneless breasts it calls for, and add frozen or canned Mexican street corn. I serve it with sliced avocado, sour cream, and tortilla chips to crumble on top.

Don’t think I could substitute another type of bean for the pinto bean recipe? If so, what other type of bean do you think would work?
