DS was recently laid off from a 150K job one year after graduation, and he was devastated by it. On Thursday, he played golf at the county public golf course, and met a SVP during the round of golf. Four hour later, the SVP gave DS his phone number and email, and asked DS to send him DS’ resume immediately. Late yesterday, the company HR called DS, and offered him a job with the same pay. They will send an email on Monday to make it official. DS is on cloud nine ever since. He feels so lucky and blessed to have a job in this economy. You just don’t know who you meet on public golf courses.

| I want to be happy for this kid but also the gender grossness is just gross. |
SVP isn't necessarily someone rolling in dough. Many companies have tons of people with that title. |

Yeah, it's suspect. |

OP was careful to mention the PUBLIC golf course. With a SENIOR VP
Clearly unaware that ANY game where you have to pay cash for every round is a rich man’s game. Most other games you can use free public fields. Similarly how swimming is traditionally white and wealthy, even tennis since public courts are hardly ubiquitous. |
| Gotta love me some guerrilla marketing, gold business owner. |
I thought pickleball was the new finance bro sport? |
| You will never believe the job I was offered at the gun range. |
| So to meet a female VP I should what...become a nanny? |
