Summer Training For High School Age Player

Anonymous
Sophomore boy wants to put in the work over the summer. Has potential but relatively new to the sport.
I don't know anything about lacrosse at all.

Looking for two things. We live in the Springfield/Alexandria area:

Individual/group training for high school age boys in stick work and speed and agility.

Teams he can try out for over the summer. Probably missed deadlines but worth a shot.

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest connecting with one of the Georgetown or Maryland players that plays the same position as your boy that live local (multiple Nova residents on both rosters) to see if they are able to offer lessons. These lessons usually go for $75-$100 per hour.

Teams are a different discussion, most kids still playing club in HS are hoping to continue playing in college, summer leading into Jr year is the biggest period to get on college coaches radar, so likely limited options for club.

Places like TSJ offer some lax training options and its worth checking out. In the fall, if your boy is at a public school, many participate in the VEL fall league.
