Tumi backpack for urban travel

I don't know. Wondering if something like an Osprey backpack would be better for travel. But I use the Tumi for my laptop (work bag).

I love osprey products but you’re going to two very civilized places to visit family. Only you know if your laptop needs more protection than the tumi offers.
