Why would you want to overpay for a mediocre dinner? Trying to impress someone?

I did it years ago at the height of its rankings. It’s not as good as the Inn at LW or the original Bouley but still fun. Call. That’s all it takes.

At least use your adult words when you make idiotic comments.

Only if you’re the governor of California and it’s Covid lockdown.

It’s highly overpriced and the food / experience was not worth it.

If not French Laundry, where should one go in Napa/Sonoma land (and environs)?

We went on our honeymoon. We both tried calling the day reservations opened and got an early seating. That was almost 20 years ago, and I doubt it’s gotten harder to reserve. As I recall, we had 2 or 3 nights we could go, and we weren’t shooting for a weekend, so all that helped. I loved it, and am glad we went, and still think about it! (And, yes, I’ve been to other comparable restaurants.)
