Kennedy Center - Prom Photos and Meet Up

Can anyone explain to me what happens with the high school seniors/prom goers all meeting up at the Kennedy Center? Where do they meet, and where do people park? It seems everyone's plan is to meet and disperse for the evening there, but logistically it seems like a nightmare. Apparently parents go for this initial gathering?

I hadn't heard that. My daughter and her friends are gathering at our house for photos and then going to do photos sans parents somewhere in Silver Spring. I can't imagine driving down to the Kennedy Center in Friday traffic.

They park at the Kennedy Center or get dropped off there, and take photos on the terraces overlooking the Potomac. Seems logistically super simple to me.

I guess - as long as there is parking. It just seems like such a busy place, with traffic all around, etc. for meeting and convening into groups, etc. I guess it's the parking that I'm most concerned about. I guess it's fine as long as there is space in the center's garage.
