How long until enrollment confirmed at lottery matched school?

If you submit all your paperwork by the deadline, how long does it take them to confirm enrollment at your matched school? I'm trying not to be paranoid but have been frustrated with the poor communication from our matched school during the enrollment process and just will feel better once it's confirmed. How long does it usually take schools to process the enrollment of all the matched families after the deadline?

This was not our first year doing the lottery but it was our first year actually matching with a school (we have enrolled in a school after getting off the waitlist before but that process is different because the school reaches out to you directly as opposed to just finding out through the My School site on results day).

I got a confirmation email from My School DC the same day I enrolled

OP here. Yes, I got that too -- the confirmation from My School that my enrollment paperwork was complete. But my status still says "enrollment pending" and I haven't received confirmation from the school that we are actually enrolled, which My School says is the next step.

I know I'm being a bit obsessive but we've had a string of lottery bad luck the last few years and finally landed at a school we are really happy with and I just want to get it finalized so I can mentally check it off.

I think there's something going on with the myschooldc site that is showing "enrollment pending" still even if you're confirmed. I confirmed w/ our school that all was in, got an email via the Aspen system that we were enrolled, but myschooldc still shows pending -- I chatted with their support team and they said it was fine and not to worry.

OP again. Did your email from Aspen say "you are enrolled" or did it say "your enrollment paperwork is complete"? Mine said the latter which is why I'm concerned.

I have heard from other parents at the school that they don't do the best job with enrollment so I was warned the process might be annoying. Which is fine, our old school was also messy administratively. But what I don't want to happen is for us to be told we lost our spot because our enrollment wasn't confirmed by May 1st even though we got all our paperwork in well before that. They couldn't do that, could they?

It had a subject line of "Enrollment Acceptance Confirmation: [student name]" and the email itself said, "We are pleased to inform you [student name] has completed 2025-2026 enrollment for [school name]"

All that being said, I just checked myschooldc today and it now says "enrolled" on my end
